Splendid white sand beaches, clear water, rainforest in the interior, a handful of resorts to stay and splendid views of Ko Muk, Ko Libong and the mainland: This is Ko Kradan in Trang province, part of Haad Chao Mai National Park.If you go snorkeling you might meet seaturtles or lionfishes. "The main beach is a drop dead gorgeous 2km long white sand job on the eastern side of the island", notes tezza.backpackinthailand.com. More informations on kradanisland.com

From June 1 to September 30 in 2019 Ko Kradan will be closed for tourists. The chief of the Haad Chao Mai national park, Narong Kong-iad, said that access to the park will be denied for “the nature to rehabilitate itself” according to The Nation. Had Chao Mai National Park says a sharp rise in tour boat activity during the Songkran holiday seriously damaged coral reefs, prompting the need to impose strict regulations to enable rehabilitation, reported Bangkok Post.

Kalume Village: From 700 Bath. Bamboo bungalows, polinesian huts and wooden cottages. See photo-gallery. Mixed reviews on tripadvisor.com

Kradan Island Resort: palm-thatch and timber bungalows only a few metres from the shoreline. Too many critics about rats in the huts on tripadvisor.com. "The food in the open-sided restaurant is average but the views are out of this word", writes thenewdaily.com.au.
